Expressing More Optimism than One Feels

大丈夫。何とかなるさ。 It's okay. Things will turn around.

The sentence-ending particle "さ" implies an optimistic view from the speaker. If added in a light tone, it implies that the speaker is just pretending to be optimistic.
It's usually used by men, not women (so it sounds rather masculine).

あんな女にふられたって平気さ。 (Correct) I don't care if she dumps me.
あんな男にふられたって平気さ。 (A bit unusual) I don't care if he dumps me.

Women would use the following sentence:

あんな男にふられたって平気よ。 (Natural) I'll be okay if he dumps me.
